Our DIY carriage door frame blends historical charm and character with the convenience of a lightweight aluminum foundation, ready for your choice of finish material. The frame is constructed from 6061-T6 rust-free wrought aluminum alloy, a high-grade material with a yield strength of 35,000 pounds per square inch. For comparison, mild steel typically ranges from about 20,000 to 30,000 pounds per square inch. We use 6061-T6 wrought aluminum for its strength, resiliency, dent resistance, and long-lasting appearance.

We offer two design options: an archtop frame and a straight flat-top carriage door. Each frame includes strap-style hinges with a rectangular design, standard at 12 inches in length, made from durable powder-coated iron.
